The Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra announces its 41st Season-Opening Concert at Hochstein

The Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra announces its 41st Season-Opening Concert at Hochstein

I am thrilled to post the 2011/2012 season schedule for the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (RPYO), a symphony orchestra comprised of 105 dedicated young musicians in grades eight through 12 from around the greater Rochester area.  Three concerts, including its annual Side-By-Side performance with select members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, plus an appearance on WXXI’s “Backstage Pass,” mark the orchestra’s 41st season. This season is a rich exploration of orchestral music from 19th Century Europe and 20th Century America, led by the RPYO's musical director and conductor Dr. David Harman.

I have a keen interest in this.  Not only is the music phenomenal, but my son is part of the RPYO as its tuba player.
