Brockport man charged with felony burglary, criminal trespass | Crime
A 20-year-old Brockport man has been arrested for felony burglary, criminal trespass, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
Brockport Police say in the early morning hours of February 6, officers saw a suspicious man in dark clothing riding a bicycle near Centennial Avenue and Main Street and decided to follow him as there had been several vehicle larcenies in the area the night before.
According to police, the suspect tried to lose officers by riding his bike between driveways and eventually ditching the bike and running from police.
After a short chase, the suspect – Travis Knowlton – was taken into custody. Police say he was in possession of items that would be found in vehicles like a cell phone charges, GPS unit, sunglasses and pocket change.
Knowlton was arraigned on the charges and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
